    Description

    This numbers jar is from an old American Legion post.
    The colors on the label are still nice and the jar has no faults that I can find. The rim has no chipping.
    Label says Jar O' Do Copyright 1943. The Owens-Illinois includes a 7 to the left,  6 to the right and 3 below. If I understand that correctly, this jar was made in Alton, Illinois (Plant 7) and the 6 is the year code. Since the label says 1943, I would guess 1946 for the year the glass was made. The plant was closed in 1983 according to a Madison, Illinois county historical website.
